Who isn’t concerned about car safety. Everyday, you read about some new terrible and tragic car accidents on the roadways, which is enough to practically make you want to become a hermit. No matter how much attention you put into car safety, it never seems like enough, as the safest drivers in the safest cars still sometimes get struck by a tragic fate. Although there is no perfect solution to this or any other problem, nonetheless, your car safety can be maximized and your chances for disaster minimized if you are willing to take some simple precautions.

The word lately has been in favor of one auto manufacturer, Toyota (taking six of the ten hottest car spots on the list), and in controversial angst over another, Ford (taking excessive slack from right-wing conservative Christians protesting their advertising in gay publications). Chevy seems to have escaped both the bane of boon of exposure of late, so maybe a light on and Cavalier recalls will fall on deaf ears. And despite how big a proponent I am of Chevies, I will nevertheless offer a look at the Chevy recalls…for those of us who are die-hard Chevy drivers but who are also smart shoppers who keep informed regardless.

I do not think I am the only one having this problem: finding a used car for a decent price. Are you facing the same problem? Well, welcome to the club. It seems like those shady car salesmen are always trying to feed us some cheesy spiel about why the car costs what it does. Well, it’s time to say goodbye to these flakes in the suits. All you truly need is your trusty PC or Mac. Hop online and check out the array of used car search engines. Find out the true value of the car you’re interested in. Don’t let some shmoe tell you what it costs. If there’s one thing I learned in college, it was to always do your own research. If you don’t, you may get duped. The World-Wide-Web can make you privy to the value of any new or used automobile, regardless of the year or mileage. Hop online and see what I’m talking about.

While an intelligent person who minds his/her own business might realize, a bigger concern than Ford truck recalls is on the radar: Christians are again handing down decisions about lifestyle choices and have decided to boycott Ford, not for any Ford truck recalls or Ford Motor problems that concern them and their loved ones but because Ford had ad campaign that that were featured in homosexual publications/targeted the homosexual demographic. But to be fair, and to avoid getting apoplectic about the right to choose religion, sex, sexuality, and purchase options and other inalienable rights, and to hold off on crowing about my and my family’s love and respect for Ford trucks—which rock—I will digress…and get back to my own business of looking into and making notes on the most recent Ford truck recalls.

Do you need auto insurance for your new vehicle? Finding affordable auto insurance can be a challenge. Sometimes you feel that there are as many rates as people and you may wonder if you truly have found the best rate available. Several auto insurance companies today offer quick online auto insurance quotes. Some of the larger, more well known companies are Geico and Progressive.

Have you driven a Chevrolet? I am no stranger to Ford and Chevrolet cars and trucks—as they are the only makes my dad drove when we were growing up. I have a knack for spotting certain models (though I can’t peg the years yet and won’t be describing in any detail the components, the engines, or the mechanics—which I’ll leave to the Chevy aficionados); and have a penchant for many of the older hot rods (60s and 70s!!) myself (though I doubt I will ever be able to afford any). My ex, when he wasn’t an ex, got me a Chevy Monte Carlo that would blow the doors off the little buzzing fools who always tried to race me. It had a throaty growl that I still swoon over. And it had a style that at the time (three years ago) I thought would be irreplaceable.

We are running out of natural gases. Alternative sources of fuel for cars may be too little too late, but they are certainly better than nothing. In many cities all across the nation, alternative fuel sources are becoming increasingly popular, as people begin to plan for what looks to be a bleak energy future. The importance of alternative fuel sources can not be overrated. We have reached the half way point for oil consumption, and from here on in, it will get more and more expensive to extract smaller and smaller amounts of oil, resulting in the end of fossil fuel use. The sooner we switch to alternative fuel sources, the better, but it seems that our economy is so completely dependent on gasoline that switching might not be enough to save us now.

One of the cooling autos accessories is car video screen. Though the small video screen hasn’t been around long, many people consider them a necessity today. In fact many top model vehicles offer them as an option during the purchase process.
They certainly come in handy on long road trips, especially when kids are traveling with you. But are car video screens really something that should be in cars? Most people seem to think so.
